Whoever emails you knows when you open it.
And how many times, and which links you clicked. DontTrackMe stops it in Gmail: you read as usual, and nothing gets back to them.

A tracked email tells the sender all of this.
You don’t have to reply. Opening it is enough. The email carries an invisible image, the size of a dot. When your inbox loads it, the sender’s server takes note.
- Opened · Tue 08:14
That you opened it, and exactly when.
They wrote at 8:00 and they know you read it at 8:14. If you take three days, they know that too.
- Opened again · 3rd time
How many times you came back to it.
Reading a quote three times says a lot about you, right in the middle of a negotiation.
- Click · “See pricing” · Madrid
Which link you clicked, and from where.
Before taking you to the page, a tracked link goes through their server. There they see your approximate location, your device, and what caught your interest.
- Address · active
That your address is real, and that you read.
An address that opens emails is worth more. That is why the emails keep coming.
- Usually reads · 08:00–09:00
Your routine.
Add up the opens and they know when you check your mail, and when you are away.
It isn’t only shops.
Newsletters, banks, online shops and job sites do it. So do people: salespeople, recruiters, or anyone who has added a tool like Mailtrack, Streak or Superhuman to their Gmail.
When we scanned 200 recent emails in one ordinary inbox, 52 tracking images turned up: 19 from well-known services, and 33 that only behave like one.
DontTrackMe recognises 23 tracking services by name, and also catches the images that only behave like trackers.

Three moments, in the Gmail you already use.
Example inbox. Names and emails are made up.
Before you open it
Your inbox shows which emails carry tracking. We check them without opening them and without marking them as read. This part is free.
When you open it
Pro blocks the invisible image before it loads. The sender receives nothing: not the time, not the count.
When you click
Tracked links are cleaned, so you go straight to the real page. If a link hides where it goes, you’ll see a warning before it opens.
Your email never leaves your browser.
All the checking happens on your computer. There is no account, no analytics and no ads. We couldn’t read your email even if we wanted to.

Questions
Does DontTrackMe read my email?
Only inside your browser, to find the tracking. Nothing from your email is ever sent to us or to anyone else.
Will it mark my emails as read?
No. The inbox check reads the original message in the background, the same way Gmail’s “Show original” does, and Gmail does not mark it as read.
Will images stop working?
Only tracking images are blocked. Logos and photos show as usual. If you trust a sender, one click loads everything from them.
Does it work with Outlook, Yahoo or on my phone?
Not yet. Today it works in Gmail on a computer, in Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox. The Gmail app on your phone is not covered.
What does a sender see when I’m protected?
Nothing. Their report shows the email as unopened.
How do I cancel?
In the extension, open Settings → Your plan → Manage subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
Which languages?
14: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Hindi, Arabic, Indonesian and Turkish.
